We are proud to be a sponsor of this year’s TypeCon 2008 in Buffalo, New York. If you don’t know what TypeCon is, it is the leading conference in America on all that is Type. On top of being one of the main sponsors, we are also curating a poster exhibit at TypeCon. We are looking for your best poster work that has excellent usage of Type on it. It can be the main focus, or minor. We will be showing the best submissions and the poster show will most likely travel, like our last one did. Don’t wait till last minute, send them over now! And please help spread the word, we want as many submissions as possible.
To clarify some issues: There is no specific size requirement for your posters (whatever you’re able to ship) and they may make use of any typefaces at your disposal provided you have the necessary license agreements.

Last time we had some of the best work from around the globe. Mevis and van Deursen, Norm, Syrup, etc, etc. Was some of the best typework that had been published. I still want some of those posters!

[...] YWFT are curating a poster gallery at typecon again this year. They are looking for your best poster work that has excellent usage of type on it. It can be the main focus, or minor. They will be displaying the best submissions and the poster show will most likely travel, like the last one did. There unfortunately doesn’t seem to be any prizes but it sure is good exposure. del.icio.us | Reddit | Digg! | Technorati | Stumble Posted by Louisclose Louis BeaudoinMontreal, Canadahttp://www.louisbeaudoin.netView Entries Filed in Contests, Poster Design, Typography [...]
