Apple updates, Adobe Breaks (again)

Just a heads up you After Effects users on mac. Be careful if you run the latest updates from Apple, which include a quicktime update. Just like a year ago, this update brings After Effects to its knees, leaving users like myself opening your project to the pinwheel of death. Such a death requires an actual reboot on the machines button Since I hit this problem last year, I never run updates. But today I got trigger happy and updated, ergh. Thanks Apple!

Which version of AE is affected? CS3? CS4? All of the above?

I just don’t run quicktime updates anymore. There was an update I ran about 6 months ago that causes Finder to restart every 5 minutes. If I recall correctly it was traced back to quicktime as well.

I am running After Effects CS3, but my experience in the past was this is a quicktime issue, and when they change something it effects how AE reads the qt file, no matter what the version. After some more research, it might have been the new os update, not sure. But it seems after the update, one of my after effects files reads some qt files, that no longer work and hose AE. I am trying time machine backups, but still crash city on the qt files.
