Found a collection of cigarette cards at the digital gallery of NY Public Library. I really like the proportions and the symbols for each armed forces division.

To promote our new OpenType font, Neighborhood, I hand-painted these little cards to send out to 9 lucky customers that purchase the font. I thought about baking a few casseroles but then I remembered we use UPS to ship and that might get a little too messy. So, these cards will have to do. If one of these should show up in an envelope, you will know that the designers at YWFT greatly appreciate your support and purchases of our quality typefaces and stock art.

Here are some final pictures of the t-shirt show we were in called Sweat Shop. It was part of The Graphic Design Festival in Breda, Netherlands. They did a really nice and unique way of showing the shirts. Again, thanks to StayNice for hooking this up, was great to be in the show.

Watch Video - We understand many of you out there already have endless ideas and methods for using our stock imagery/vectors. But at the same time, we know there are some people out there that ask, what can you exactly do with these products you sell? Well, the options are endless and reach from print to web to video to anything really (tattoo anyone?). In this video we will show you how you can take a handset font, compose your own type layout in Adobe Illustrator, then paste into Adobe Photoshop and give it a whole new texture and depth using an Escapism image collection.
The products used in this video are Inkantation (type) and Escapism 21 (image fill).

Was reading up about Salmonellosis today when I came across this interesting bit of information: The Four-Inch Law refers to a regulation passed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in 1975 outlawing the sale of turtles with a carapace length of less than four inches. Exceptions are present for scientific and educational use, export, and private sale. The law was enacted, according to the FDA, “because of the public health impact of turtle-associated Salmonellosis”. There had been reported cases of young children placing small turtles in their mouths, which led to the size-based restriction. Strange world, strange world…
