URW++ has established itself in the international graphic design and OEM industry by continually developing and marketing innovative font and software products. URW’s steadily growing font library currently comprises about 3,000 Latin fonts, of which about 300 are available also with Greek and Cyrillic character sets. In addition, we create, produce and offer typefaces in many non-Latin scripts such as Arabic, Hebrew, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and more. Besides the production and marketing of fonts, for over the last 30 years we have also been developing and enhancing our IKARUS font design and production software system for professional font manufacturers all over the world as well as, of course, for our own font studio. Moreover, and as a result of the foregoing, since 2003 we have been producing our Nimbus Global fonts with more than 50.000 and sometimes upwards to over 60.000 glyphs per font covering all relevant scripts and based on a uniform design for all Latin as well as non-Latin glyphs. This is in response to the ever-growing demand from OEM and corporate type (IdentiType) clients. URW’s staff is a multinational team of very experienced and skilled type experts.
