DSType was founded in 1994 by Dino dos Santos. Since then we released some notable typefaces that gained us worldwide recognition and many awards. Our fonts are used by many publications like The New York Times Magazine, USA Today, Le Figaro, Libération, Newsweek, The Observer, Print, Billboard, Cosmopolitan, The Sunday Times, and companies such as Electronic Arts, Gatorade, Erste Bank, among many others. We were awarded with the Certificate of Excellence in Type Design by the Type Directors Club of New York and the Creative Review Type Design Award, both for two reinterpretations of the portuguese calligraphers Ventura da Silva and Andrade de Figueiredo. Our work has been selected for many publications like Eye, Creative Review, Publish, Computer Arts and exhibitions like “Schrift in Form” at the Klingspor-Museum in Offenbach, Germany and “Types for the New Century” at the Stationers’ Hall in London, England.
