Description: Based on the calligraphic work of Alex Steinweiss, the pioneering graphic designer who is credited with being The Inventor of the Modern Album Cover, Steinweiss Script is a family of fonts in three weights: Light, Medium, and Bold. Additionally, within each weight there are three variations: Simple, Fancy, and Titling. These variations relate to the size/ratio of the caps to the lowercase, the complexity of those caps, and the size of the ascenders/descenders on the lowercase characters. These variations add usefulness to the font, making it accessible not just for headlines, but for longer passages of text as well.

Alphabet Soup Type Founders is the foundry name under which letterforms artist Michael Doret releases his fonts. He believes that having had extensive experience in the fields of illustration, design and advertising separates him from most other font designers.

By creating and releasing his designs through Alphabet Soup he is attempting to bring a very different perspective to the art of font design from that of most other foundries. Bringing his experience of making art with letterforms to bear on font design, he hopes to create a collection of fonts that share the same aesthetic, energy and unique qualities as the lettering and design work that he has become known for.
