Novella™ captures the essence of stylish typography that was popular at the turn of the 20th century into the 1930s. Its curvilinear monoweight lines are organic and floral, complimenting the hand lettering style of Samuel Welo, the art of Louis Comfort Tiffany, Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Gustav Klimt among others of the time. The style is familiar as a silent film font as well as a popular font used on theater posters. Today, it's used on menus, invitations, advertising, packaging and in communications that are looking for a hint of nostalgia.
