P22 Akebono
Foundry: IHOF
In Japanese, Akebono means dawn. The font expresses the pleasure of imbalance, as the stems and strokes are mixed--straight and round with slender terminals and arches. Akebono is available in three styles: Regular, Alternate, and Italic.
Akebono was designed by Hajime Kawakami. Hajime Kawakami was born in 1953 and has been working as a Graphic Designer since 1974. He won the 1990 Morisawa International Typeface Design Competition Honorable Mention in the Latin Category.
