Plakaty was originally designed / showcased somewhere in the 50's in the last century, in 1995 we digitized the main characters of the font. We completed the font in 2012. The font is inspired on the old wooden 'biljetletters' we found in an old typespecimen called 'Arti letterboek', typefaces designed by M. Meijer, former chief-draughtsman at De Bijenkorf Amsterdam, published by Uitgeverij Arti, Alkmaar. It can be considered as a hommage to the anonymous typefaces we know from old printers before the offset era. Made by Novo Typo. Designers from Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
