The Firenza™ fonts are based on a design that was in use at the turn of the 19th century. While the character shapes resemble those that became common on typewriters through the second half of the 20th century, it is interesting to note that these designs actually pre-date Courier by more than 50 years.
THE TEXT FONTS
The Firenza Text™ fonts are condensed versions of the Firenza™ family, which are more suitable for setting text at smaller point sizes. You may want to use both families together or separately according to the project you are working on. The text fonts very nicely mimic the style of typewritten text.
FULL CHARACTER SET
Each font in the Firenza™ family has a full character set of 232+ letterforms, with all characters designed in the style of the font. Some fractions and the Euro symbol are also included.
