Second Wave is a sans serif, hand-set, display font based on 60s modular type. Its strength is in the repetition of simple shapes, as well as the repeating vertical negative spaces - creating a noticeably pleasing rhythm when typeset. It includes uppercase, lowercase, numbers, some alternate characters, and punctuation. The characters include a stroke for the negative space, whose weight can easily be altered or reversed to make Second Wave outlined. Using the snap-to-grid feature in Illustrator makes it easy to typeset and evenly space.
