The talents at TipoType are back again, this time with an amazing calligraphic-styled sans, Libertad. Libertad is a sans-serif typeface that mixes humanist and grotesk models – It’s most interesting feature is the combination of balanced regulars with dynamic italics, which makes it a very versatile font for different uses. This typeface follows the Lucas de Groot’s Interpolation Theory, that’s why it has seven specially calculated weights plus their matching italics, from thin to extrabold. This allows it to be useful in big headlines and also small texts. It has more than 800 characters per weight and support for more than 70 languages.
Bonus: Libertad is currently on sale and discounted 80%, which allows you to download the Complete Family (14 fonts) for only $29.80 USD.
TipoType is the first type foundry from Montevideo. Founded around 2009 by Vicente Lamónaca, Fernando Díaz and Martin Sommaruga, Tipotype’s goal is to distribute contemporary typefaces while creating a platform that allows type designers to easily commercialize their work.
