GhostlyPixels is Joseph Smietanski. Joseph spent his early childhood with a pencil in his hand, filling his notebooks with supercars, and spaceships. By age 15, Joseph’s design won an international design contest, was featured in a multi-city exhibit, and found his work published. Now, 12 years into his professional design career, Joseph has designed for more than 100 clients including household brands and Fortune 500 companies. Having lived in Chicago and Europe, Joseph has settled in Dallas, TX where he designs, and manages a web design team. By night, he can be found with pencil in hand, still sketching away.

Here’s a fine set of hand illustrated polygons. I created these the old fashioned way, freehand style with a pencil and paper. I then inked the polygons by hand and scanned them in at a high-resolution before converting the files to vector format. This collection contains 30 EPS Vector files.

This hand-illustrated set of three topographic maps draws inspiration from the days of yore when finely detailed cartographic maps were the norm and Lincoln ran the show. The original illustrations for this set were penned at 8.5 X 11 and scanned at 1,600 DPI for an extremely high-resolution master before converting to Vector EPS format.
