LatinoType was Chile’s first digital type foundry, established in 2007. Founded by Miguel Hernández, who was eventually joined by Luciano Vergara and Daniel Hernández, LatinoType works with a sizable number of graphic designers. They also conduct workshops throughout the Latin American region in an effort to share their knowledge and experience with other designers, continuously maintaining its mission to further elevate typography in Latin America.
Being keenly familiar with the needs of the design industry while blending their deeply-rooted South American influences with contemporary design essentials, LatinoType strives to deliver top quality, innovative fonts that offer an incredible amount of versatility.
One of their latest releases, Basic Sans Cnd, is an affable sans serif designed by Daniel Hernández. A more slender version of Basic Sans, this type design is clean and contemporary, carrying itself with a decidedly impartial stance. Basic Sans Cnd is objective without being impersonal; subtle details reveal its understated personality, resulting in a sans serif that is functional and authoritative, yet friendly and relaxed.
This perfect balance of attributes is what makes Basic Sans Cnd appropriate for a wide variety of projects, including editorials, headlines, advertising, branding, product packaging, corporate correspondence, white papers, business cards, and print or digital book publishing. The strong legibility of Basic Sans Cnd also makes it an excellent choice for web content and mobile applications.
Available in seven weights with corresponding italics and alternate versions of each, the complete Basic Sans Cnd family is comprised of 28 fonts. Case sensitive forms, standard ligatures, and fractions provide additional flexibility. Multilingual support includes Basic Latin, Western European, Euro, Catalan, Baltic, Turkish, Central European, Romanian, Pan African Latin, Dutch, and Afrikaans to offer accessibility for 206 languages.
Basic Sans Cnd is on sale for a phenomenal 79% off of its regular price until January 27, 2017!
