Based in Thailand, Chatnarong Jingsuphatada is a talented graphic designer and typographer. He found his way to typography after working as a graphic designer for some time. While working in that field, it was not uncommon for Chatnarong to struggle with finding the perfect type design for a project. His solution was simple: he’d just make his own.
Chatnarong had spent plenty of time flipping through design catalogs and working in graphic design that he had a pretty thorough understanding of what other graphic designers needed. Once he developed a skill set for the process of designing type on a scale beyond just lettering for a single design, he set out to work in the field of typography full time.
He went on to establish Superstore Font Foundry, which served as an outlet for his work. Later, he began releasing type designs under the label Typesketchbook, which offers a variety of handmade scripts, sans serifs, and display fonts.
When it comes to type design, Chatnarong’s work is unique and visually striking, offering graphic designers a lot of versatility and multilingual support to suit their every need. “Having worked as a graphic designer, I have gained insight into what designers want and need and what they look for in regard to how usable and interesting a font is,” Chatnarong told us.
His goal through Typesketchbook is to consistently offer fonts that are multifunctional and aesthetically pleasing, two qualities that are certainly found in this most recent release through YouWorkForThem.
