Mii Lab is a design studio with an emphasis on illustration and graphic design. The independent studio takes a multi-disciplinary approach to art, incorporating digital techniques in tandem with traditional linocut and printmaking techniques.
Using a linocut process results in hand-drawn imagery with added texture and dimension, creating visual depth to its final design. It requires considerable attention to detail throughout the creation process, which involves creating a reversed and raised print surface on a linoleum sheet. Ink is applied to this surface before it is pressed onto paper to create the actual print. Mii Lab digitizes these images for use in a graphic design workflow, enabling designers to incorporate them with just a few clicks of the mouse.
