Pana Type & Studio is a design studio that specializes in graphic design, typography, and calligraphy. The fonts released from this Indonesian studio are primarily script fonts, handcrafted with care and precision. Their work is instantly captivating, featuring letterforms that are unique, stylish and strong.
One of their more recent releases through YouWorkForThem is Saltery, a contemporary cursive brush script. Saltery is casual yet fashionable, like that well-dressed hipster who frequents the coffee house on the corner.
Pana Type & Studio wanted to make this font’s letterforms as natural-looking as possible, so it appears as though you wrote them yourself using a thick brush or marker. They certainly succeeded in their task through the graceful lines of this font. Saltery is a heavy signature script with an urban edge, featuring legible cursive letters that connect smoothly and effortlessly.
Saltery is available with either a Clean or Rough effect, so it’s an incredibly flexible script to work with. Each has an alternate version to give you an even greater number of options. Saltery is a beautiful addition to signage and displays that need a handprinted appearance, but it’s also fantastic in logos, on menus, used in product packaging, labels, merchandise, or apparel. Saltery is well suited to invitation design, greeting cards, stationery, posters, recipe card designs, and anything that needs a pretty, legible script.
