As Chile’s first digital type foundry established in 2007, LatinoType strives not only to deliver top quality letter sets to the worldwide graphic design community, but to support other type designers in their endeavors. LatinoType is a collective that is working hard to grow typography in Latin America, a field that has been largely underrepresented in South America.

One of LatinoType’s most recent releases, Antonietta, was designed by Mauricio Astete Brito under the supervision of the LatinoType team. This gorgeous font family is Mauricio’s first type design and if the finished product is anything to go by, he is heading toward great things in the future of his career.

Antonietta is based on Copperplate styling, with a nod given to Hermann Zapf, Ricardo Rousselot and Herb Lubalin. Antonietta Caps is a modernized classic that was designed specifically for branding and labels. The Illuminated, Inline, and Shadow versions provide another layer of dimension, variation, and texture to finished designs. Antonietta Caps offers stylistic alternates, fractions, standard ligatures, discretionary ligatures, and case sensitive forms for additional design flexibility.

This ridiculously beautiful type design also offers two enchanting scripts that will instantly captivate any viewer. Fluid lettering and elaborate curls effortlessly personify the Rococo style of 18th century France with a grace befitting the era that served as its inspiration. Antonietta Script Essential contains 405 glyphs, while Antonietta Script Pro offers 862 with the addition of stylistic alternates. The script versions of Antonietta are ideal for formal invitations, decadent product packaging, and book cover designs that require a romantic approach.

The Antonietta family extends multilingual support to Basic Latin, Western European, Euro, Catalan, Baltic, Turkish, Central European, Romanian, Pan African Latin, Dutch, and Afrikaans for international design versatility.

Right now through December 31st, Antonietta is on sale for 70% off of its regular price, so it’s a great time to add this one to your font arsenal.
