After graduating from Wydziale Grafiki ASP and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland, Mateusz Machalski has enjoyed a rather prolific career as a graphic designer and typographer. Co-founder of Borutta, a production studio and creative group that focuses on visual branding campaigns, Mateusz’s own work involves typography, visual branding, and corporate identity. He designed a family of 42 fonts exclusively for the Tupperware corporation, served as an art director for Warsawholic Magazine, and he also developed the visual identity for the Lech Wa??sa Solidarity Award.
The rich history of Poland holds a special place in Mateusz’s heart and his loyalty to his heritage is evidenced throughout his work. Mateusz contributed two fonts to Warsaw Types, a collaborative effort dedicated to letter sets that pay homage to Warsaw’s typographical history.
