Originally founded in 1895 as Postum Cereals, Post Consumer Brands manufactures some of the most well known hot and cold breakfast cereals available on the market today.

When Post rebranded their popular Better Oats products at the beginning of 2018 as part of their “New Year, New Look” campaign, they licensed the use of Yellow Design Studio’s Sant’Elia through YouWorkForThem. Sant’Elia Script is a contemporary script with an organic and friendly elegance – a perfect choice for the rebranding of the Better Oats line of products.

During the 2018 year, sales for Post’s hot cereals were up 7.5 percent over the previous year. Sales of Better Oats Raw Pure and Simple increased nearly 8 percent in 2018, and Better Oats Oat Revolution saw growth of nearly 5 percent over that same calendar year.

Post also licensed the use of Yellow Design Studio’s Thirsty Script to rebrand the packaging of their Shredded Wheat products. Shredded Wheat is nostalgic and wholesome; the retro appearance of Thirsty Script suits the brand particularly well.

 

In both cases, YouWorkForThem worked closely with Post’s internal creative department to cover extended licenses for each type design. This process included the development of a hybrid license that would cover the smaller streaming element Post required for their motion campaign without the need for a larger broadcast element.
